    Morocco Tips

Formal / Traditional (Moroccan): Our celebration calls for Formal Attire with a touch of Moroccan Tradition.

Think evening gowns, elegant kaftans, tailored suits, or traditional Moroccan dress. Gentlemen may wear formal suits, while ladies are welcome to wear floor-length gowns, embellished kaftans, or chic attire with refined accessories.

Details to follow for kaftan rental or custom orders.

    FAQ

Q: When will I receive more information?

A: Formal invitations will be sent via email in the next few months, including location specifics and other details.

Q: I don’t know where to start. Can you help me?

A: Of course, our amazing wedding planning team, MyRose Events, is on standby for anything you need, please click on the WhatsApp icon to message at any time from the site, send a WhatsApp message to +1 (561) 774 5912 or send an email to maryamandhamza@myrose-events.com

Q: What is Tangier’s weather like in May?

A: In early May, Tangier enjoys mild days, with average daytime temperatures around 20-24 °C (68-75 °F). Lightweight layers are ideal for daytime comfort, along with a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sunny hours. For evenings, bring a light jacket or shawl to stay comfortable when the temperature dips.

    Q: Is Morocco safe?

A: Morocco is incredibly safe for world travelers. As with any destination, keep valuables secure and stay cautious in busy areas.

    Morocco Tips

    Currency & Payments

The local currency is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD). While major hotels and some restaurants accept credit cards, it’s best to carry cash for taxis, markets, and small shops. Currency exchange is available at the airport, banks, and currency exchange offices. ATMs are widely available; we recommend withdrawing money in the city rather than at the airport to get better exchange rates.

    Language

Moroccan Arabic (Darija) is widely spoken, along with French and Spanish, in Tangier. English is spoken, but less commonly. It can be helpful to learn a few basic phrases in French or Darija, or to use a translation app if needed.

    Local Etiquette

Moroccans are warm, respectful, and value hospitality. Dress modestly when outside the hotel, especially in historic sites or markets. A friendly “Salam” (hello) and smile go a long way. Always use your right hand to give or receive items, and ask before taking photos of people. Tipping is customary, keep small bills and coins for service staff, porters, and drivers (10-20 MAD is appreciated).

    Transport & Getting Around

Taxis are affordable but should be negotiated before the ride if they don’t use the meter. Alternatively, use ride apps like InDrive. For longer trips, MyRose Events can assist in organizing private transport.

    Connectivity & SIM Cards

International roaming can be expensive. We recommend purchasing a local SIM card (INWI, Orange, or Maroc Telecom) at the airport or nearby shops. Data packages are inexpensive and reliable. Most hotels and cafés offer free Wi-Fi as well.

    Food & Water

Moroccan cuisine is rich, aromatic, and full of flavor, expect to enjoy traditional dishes such as tagines, couscous, grilled meats, fresh seafood, and delicious pastries. Meals are often shared family-style, and mint tea is a staple of Moroccan hospitality. Tap water is not recommended for drinking, stick to bottled water, which is widely available, and avoid ice in casual cafés or food stalls.

    Y & H

    2016

    Y & H

Some love stories travel far. Y & H crossed oceans, leaving the rhythm of their Canadian life behind, searching for a place where their wedding could feel raw, intimate, and unforgettable. They arrived in Rabat holding onto a vision, a dream that needed the right hands, the right hearts, and the right setting to come alive.

From the very first moment, we knew this celebration had to feel personal – not grand for the sake of grandeur, but meaningful, intentional, and crafted with care. Overlooking one of Rabat’s most breathtaking views, their ceremony felt suspended in time. The breeze was soft, the light golden, and the atmosphere carried a warmth that can only come when two people choose to honor their love in the most genuine way.

For Y & H, every detail mattered. And for us, every detail was a promise. A promise that they would feel held, understood, and free to breathe and enjoy their day without worry. We curated each element meticulously, the setup, the floral accents, the table styling, the ambiance,  ensuring everything reflected their story and the serenity they came searching for.

What made this wedding unforgettable wasn’t just the beauty of the décor or the view. It was the emotion. The gratitude in their eyes. The calmness they felt. The trust they gave us.
